Homeless on our Porch!

So, Pete and I both opened this morning, so therefore we have to leave the house at around 4:15a.m. to be to work at 4:30a.m. I got off at 12p, and arrived home to find a women sleeping on our front porch. I didn't get out of the car or even turn it off but turned around and headed straight to Pete's parents house, about a mile away.
We (myself, and Pete's parents) arrived back at the house and Jim, Pete's dad tried to wake her up. No response but a groan. At this point I'm think, "Oh my gosh, someone died on my porch this morning." I retraced my steps and remembered going out to my car before Pete, to take the tarp off my car (broken window, have to prevent the rain from coming in) and I was standing on the porch waiting for Pete to come out and lock up. NO ONE was on our porch, even though it was 4 in the morning, I am pretty paranoid in the dark.
Anyways, so therefore, she had to have gotten there pretty late, or early depending on how you look at it. So, we called our landlord, to see if maybe he might know who she is, he had no clue. We called the cops, they thought it was funny, said they would send someone over, and told us to wait in the car. About 25 minutes later a police man showed up. It took him about 10 minutes to get her to respond at all. She was pretty out of it, for whatever reason. She was angry and kept telling him to stop; our lawn chair even fell on her and she didnt budge. When she finally came to and stopped cussing, she couldn't remember her name, where she lived, or how she arrived at our house. She even laughed when the policeman told her it was the 5th of July and she was at the wrong house. She sat there for a bit, watching cars drive by, said something like "it's all coming back now, it doesn't make sense." The police man kept asking her what her name was, where she lived. All she said was, "obviously I don't live here." She claimed that she used to live her, but that's not true, only one other family lived in the house.... Finally the policeman told her to get up, get her stuff, and get in his car.
All that to say, I was pretty freaked out, but glad she didn't know where she was so she can't find her way back. Thank the Lord Pete and I left at the same time this morning. I am not sure what I would have done if I had woken up to a woman on my porch.
So, keep our house in your prayers. We are taking our welcome sign down, haha.
Sincerely,Kendra
